History

1947 The Company was established in Marugame, Kagawa Prefecture, with a capital of 2 million yen, as a producer of carbon disulfide.
1957 No. 1 Tokushima Plant (now Tokushima Plant's Yoshinari location) was constructed and began operations in the production of sodium sulfate.
1961 CMC production began at No. 1 Tokushima Plant.
We applied CMC to wall material later.
1962 No. 2 Tokushima Plant (now Tokushima Plant's Kitajima location) was constructed.
The Company's shares were listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
1963 The Company's shares were listed on the Second Section of the Osaka Securities Exchange.
1964 Japan's first operations to produce chlorinated isocyanurates were launched at No. 2 Tokushima Plant.
1969 The Company began production of OSP(Organic Solderability Preservative) for PWBs(Printed Wired Board) and other electronic components.
1970 The Company began production in the field of housing materials, launching production of interior finishes at No. 2 Tokushima Plant.
1972 The Company began production of accordion gates.
1975 The Company moves its share listings from the Second to First Sections of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and Osaka Securities Exchange.
Tadotsu Plant was constructed.
Full-scale production of imidazole began at No. 2 Tokushima Plant.
1979 The Company launched production of aluminum shutters.
1981 The Company opened a representative office in Los Angeles.
1984 Production of insoluble sulfurs “Mu-Cron” began at Marugame Plant.
1989 The Company began test marketing of Bacteria enzymes “HIPOLKA”.
1990 The Company established its Tokyo Head Office (now Makuhari Branch Office).
1992 The Research Center (now R&D Center) was constructed.
1995 Ranzan Plant was constructed.
1997 The Company's head office was relocated and rebuilt in Doki-cho, Marugame, Kagawa Prefecture.
2003 The Company ceased trading of its shares on the Osaka Securities Exchange.
2006 Shikoku OM (Shanghai) Co.,Ltd. [now Shikoku (Shanghai) Co.,Ltd.] was established.
2010 The newly quality control laboratory was constructed at Tokushima Plant's Kitajima location.
2012 Insoluble sulfur production facilities was enhanced.
Shenzhen Representative Office was established.
2013 Tokushima Advanced Chemicals Plant-3 (TAP-3) facility was constructed.
2015 Taiwan Representative Office was established.
Singapore Branch was established.
2016 Physical Testing Laboratory was constructed at R&D Center.
2017 Insoluble sulfur production facilities was enhanced.
